Hypnotized For Personal Success; written by Tom Nicoli, BCH, CI
When I began writing this article the title I had in mind was Hypnosis as a Way of Life. But then I realized that didn't best describe my thoughts. Then I thought to use the title Practice What You Preach. That only touched upon part of what I was thinking but didn't make the point. As usual, my thoughts came to me like an avalanche and as I sat sifting through them, it came to me…
I regularly practice gratitude and being thankful while accepting abundance in all forms. And as I was doing this recently, I realized I have so much to be thankful for because I have success on many levels; personally, financially, professionally, socially, etc. Then I thought how all this came about. I thought back to how life was when I was working three jobs, six-seven days per week, frustrated and struggling and at one point ending in bankruptcy. But even then, I had a belief that somehow, someway, this was all going to change… and it did.
I have grown up as it's desribed, "old school." My dad was always very clear as to how it should be in the way of behavior, manners, respect, a strong work ethic, high personal standards and all the qualities that I believe have helped direct me to be the way I am. The greatest lesson was he led by example… he practiced what he preached. This is what I believe has been one of my best attributes as a parent, an instructor and a professional hypnotist. By practicing what I preach to my clients, I must use hypnosis as a way of life. I firmly believe I would not have the lifestyle and be living the life I am grateful for if I had done it any other way.
So you see, Hypnosis For Personal Success sums it up wonderfully. By practicing the hypnotic techniques that we share with our clients, we practice what we preach, use hypnosis as a way of life and are hypnotized for personal success. People think that with the responsibilities and tasks of owning my practice A Better You Hypnosis, Inc., being the founder and principal instructor of New England Institute of Hypnosis, the work in my lead role for World Hypnotism Day, speaking engagements, presentations, radio & television appearances, continuous writing as a published author, marketing hypnosis products and the other projects I currently have in the works, that I would be an emotional mess and have no time for my family or myself. On the contrary. I feel like I now work less, have more energy, am more positive and have only just begun. Why? Becausee I am Hypnotized for Personal Success! So, what are you waiting for?
