Hypnotists Conference Offers Customized Learning Experience
When the National Guild of Hypnotists convenes for their twentieth NGH Convention and Educational Conference in August, they'll be helping NGH Convention attendees select the hypnosis workshops and seminars that best fit their educational objectives.
Merrimack, NH (PRWEB)
The National Guild of Hypnotists has created an effective tool to help attendees at the 2007 NGH Convention get the most out of the time they spend in the workshops and seminars offered during this year's convention. Before each of the nearly two thousand attendees arrives in Marlborough, MA, this August for the three-day event, they will have completed a Personal Learning Goals Form.
The Personal Learning Goals Form helps participants select which of the NGH Convention's 280 seminars and workshops best meets their educational objectives. With over 400 hours of coursework offered during the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference, those who attend might find it challenging to create their schedule without the help of the Personal Learning Goals form. Dr. Dwight Damon, president of the National Guild of Hypnotists, explains the situation like this, "At the NGH Convention, we have a challenge most conferences only dream about. The hypnosis workshops and seminars NGH offers during the convention are so extraordinary, and cover so many aspects of hypnotism, that convention attendees often tell us they wish they could participate in every single one of them. The new Personal Learning Goals Form, developed in response to this particular need, will help everyone who uses it to turn their 2007 NGH Convention experience into a remarkable time of learning and personal and professional growth."
While the 2007 NGH Convention features 116 workshops and 164 seminars, offered in sessions that range from one to three hours in length, not every workshop or seminar offered is targeted toward every attendee. NGH Convention and Educational Conference participants all share a deep interest in hypnosis theory, practice and techniques, but their specific career disciplines vary greatly. In addition to certified consulting hypnotists, life coaches, counselors and therapists, many NGH Convention attendees will be from the medical profession. Physicians, dentists, anesthesiologists, chiropractors, osteopaths, psychologists, nurses, psychiatrists and numerous other health care professionals utilize hypnotism as a valuable means to aid healing, manage stress and help diminish undesirable behaviors and habits. Most of the attendees will attend hypnosis and hypnotism related classes in order to gain professional certifications, re-certifications, or to receive Continuing Education Credits. Also new for the 2007 National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference is a special learning track specifically established to award CE/CNE credit for those in the fields of mental and behavioral health counseling, nursing, and certain health care industries.
All of the NGH Convention seminars and workshops, including those offered pre and post convention in the NGH Summer Institute are open to hypnotism professionals and anyone with a sincere interest in learning more about hypnosis. The National Guild of Hypnotists twentieth anniversary convention will be held at the Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts. To find out more about registration, you may call the NGH Registrar at (603) 429-9438. For hotel reservations, convention attendees should call (508) 460-0700.
