I have been a member of the NGH since October of 2003. I attended the convention and took the course to be a HypnoBirthing(R) Practitioner in 2004. I embraced the opportunity to become an NGH Certified Instructor at the 2005 Convention. Last year I took the opportunity to be a presenter and become Board Certified. Hypnosis offers genuine help for people battling obesity. Many of the professional hypnotists who will attend the National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and Educational Conference this summer will be seeking certifications and re-certifications as they build their skills to help people deal with weight gain and other issues common in society today. NBC's Dateline focused on one man using the hypnosis weight loss techniques of NGH member and board certified hypnotist Tom Nicoli, and found them successful in helping him lose 40 pounds.
