The 2007 NGH Convention Will Be Picture Perfect
Have you ever house-hunted online, or looked for a car (new or used) on the Internet? If so, you probably found that the first descriptions to catch your eye were the ones that included photographs.photographs. That’s logical; most people respond the same way.
We are, by and large, a visual cultural. We want “eye witness” coverage of events, videotaped from multiple angles. We want crisp high-res images, and the option to magnify them should we choose to do so. In short, we want to see precisely with whom or what we are dealing.
…And so do your clients and customers. And so do your clients and customers.
If you don’t have your photograph on your website, on your book cover, and included in your marketing materials, you are missing an extremely valuable opportunity an extremely valuable opportunity to “personalize” your relationship with your clients and potential clients.
People feel more comfortable calling on you for your services, when they have already seen your face. You don’t have to be pretty or handsome and you don’t have to be the same age, gender, or race that your prospective client is, although sometimes having something in common with someone does help him or her make the decision to give his or her business to you.
People simply want to see your face. Seeing someone’s face has deep historic roots in most cultures, because the act of showing your face to someone is a way to establish that you are friend, not foe. Your photo, as part of your marketing credentials, communicates to the world that you are a professional and upfront businessperson.
Having a professional business photo is so important in career building; the National Guild of Hypnotists has sought a way to make it easy and economical for you to do.
This August, when we all meet in Marlborough, MA for the 2oth Annual National Guild of Hypnotists Convention and
Educational Conference, you will have a picture perfect opportunitypicture perfect opportunity to get a professionally taken portrait photo.
Photographer Gene Paltrin of Dover, NH, will be onsite at the convention to offer business portraits at a reduced rate for NGH Convention attendees.
Photo sessions will be on a first-scheduled basis on Sunday, August 12, between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM.
Two photo package options will be available. Option 1 will include the best image (as selected by the photographer) on a CD with slight image retouching as needed, priced at $50. Option 2 includes two 5×7 prints, as well as your CD, at a price of $65.
If the business photo you are currently using is out of date, or simply not your favorite, plan to take advantage of this excellent opportunity. And if you have been trying to market your services without a business portrait, make this your summer of change.
