The National Guild of Hypnotists to hold twentieth anniversary convention and educational conference; offering training, certifications, and Continuing Education Credits (CEU) to attendees. New this year are CEUs for nursing, counseling, and other healthcare professions.

Merrimack, NH (PRWEB) April 19, 2007 — When the National Guild of Hypnotists meets this August for their twentieth annual NGH convention, exhibition, and educational conference, they will bring together the largest and most recognized membership of hypnotism professionals in the nation. The conference provides participants the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and learn more about applications for hypnosis in their professional practices. Of particular importance to many of the attendees is that all of the 280 seminars and workshops offered during the three-day event count toward NGH Continuing Education requirements.

New for the NGH 2007 convention is the opportunity for counselors, nurses, and health care professionals to earn board approved continuing education credits as well. A special learning track has been established to award CE/CNE credit for those in the fields of mental and behavioral health counseling, nursing, and certain health care industries.

We are pleased to announce that NGH is offering courses approved for counseling CE and nursing CNE credit through partnership with PeachTree Professional Education, Inc. PeachTree is one of the nation's oldest and largest providers of Continuing Education credits for professionals in the field of mental health.

Dr. Dwight F. Damon, President of the National Guild of Hypnotists says, "We are pleased to announce that NGH is offering courses approved for counseling CE and nursing CNE credit through partnership with PeachTree Professional Education, Inc. PeachTree is one of the nation's oldest and largest providers of Continuing Education credits for professionals in the field of mental health."

Richard K. Nongard, Executive Director for PeachTree, is excited about the partnership. "Hypnosis is one of the most effective counseling strategies available for a number of emotional and behavioral disorders and dysfunctions. The NGH is the premier organization providing training in the field of hypnotism, so this is a great opportunity for therapists and other healthcare professionals to earn continuing education credits while also learning powerful clinical intervention solutions."

PeachTree will provide NAADAC, NBCC, and CA CNE approved credits for select NGH courses. Paula Nongard, PeachTree's Professional Relations Director, says, "Most nursing and mental health related boards will accept these approvals for continuing education credit, however NGH attendees should contact their own state's regulatory and licensing board or PeachTree with any questions regarding CEU approval."

Those interested in attending the National Guild of Hypnotists convention are encouraged to register early. The conference and all of the seminars are open to all hypnotism professionals and individuals with a sincere interest in learning more about hypnosis.
